Accompanied by her first erotic novel launched in Brazil this week, United States (US) ex-porn star Sasha Grey says she strives to fabricate a new path in literature while promoting women's self-empowerment.

The 25-year-old was crowded around noisily by 1,000 fans during Wednesday at a launch in Sao Paulo for The Juliette Society, - a book she anticipates will surpass the success of 50 Shades Of Grey, the 2011 erotic romance novel by British author E.L James. Interestingly, 20th Century Fox has already bought the rights to turn the book into a movie.

The novel, already launched in US and promptly to be published in 40 countries, tells the story of Catherine, a seductive film student who discovers her sexuality in a club frequented by some of the world's most powerful people.
