No lockdown in Telangana says KCR:- Telangana is entering into a tough phase of coronavirus after the new cases have seen a toll. The state's Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) announced that the state will not have any lockdown. He urged the people of the state to be extra cautious and follow all the social distancing guidelines without neglecting them. KCR also announced that the medical kits would be provided for the people by the government. He said that the lockdown will hit the common man and there is a chance for the economy to get collapsed. 21,954 new coronavirus cases reported in Andhra Pradesh:- A total number of 1,10,147 tests for coronavirus are conducted in Andhra Pradesh in the last 24 hours and 21,954 people are tested positive for coronavirus. The total coronavirus tally of cases in Andhra Pradesh climbed to 12,25,291. The total number of discharges in the country stands at 10,34,516 and the total number of deaths climbed to 8446. IPL 2021 to resume in September?:- The second wave of coronavirus is all over and the spread is huge in the country. The IPL for the yea has been happening in a bubble but some of the players are recently tested positive for coronavirus. The BCCI decided to postpone the season considering the current spread and the new date for the season will be announced at a later date. While all the Indian players reached their homes, BCCI made all the arrangements for the foreign players to have a safe reach to their hometowns. BCCI officials made sure that the tournament will not resume anytime soon before normalcy returns. Several players decided to stay away from IPL for the season considering the spread. As per the update, there are chances that IPL 2021 will resume in September this year but this would not be an easy bet. It is quite tough to bring the foreign players and resume the season on time. The total tally of coronavirus cases reached 2,10,77,410 and the total number of recoveries climbed to 1,72,80,844. 3980 deaths are reported in India in the last 24 hours and the total death toll stands at 2,30,168. There are 35,66,398 active cases for coronavirus in India and most of them are in recovery mode. As a part of the massive vaccination drive, the total number of people who took up the vaccination for coronavirus are at 16,25,13,339. The government of Kerala announced a complete lockdown from May 8th to 16th. Kerala reported 41,953 new cases for coronavirus which is huge. The Centre submitted a detailed report to the Supreme Court about the procurement of oxygen. The Supreme Court asked the Centre to come up with a proper plan in handling the oxygen crisis. The Centre also warned about a possible third wave of coronavirus and the country should be prepared for the pandemic.
