Polavaram Project in Danger:- The prestigious Polavaram Project of Andhra Pradesh is now in danger. Ambati Rambabu, the state's minister for Water Resources hinted about the same. The Centre has been providing the funds and the state government is working on Polavaram Project for the past few years. Ambati Rambabu said that the project got delayed because of a damage in the diaphragm wall. He addressed the media in his official office during which he broke the news. There are speculations that Polavaram Project is kept on hold for now. Ambati Rambabu said that all the irrigation projects would get completed in a phased manner. Rambabu took the oath as the new Irrigation Minister after which he interacted with the media.

Ambati Rambabu told that the experts will soon visit Polavaram Project and inspect, and review the situation after which the decision would be made. "The diaphragm wall was damaged in the year 2019 due to the floods and the ruling TDP government ignored the move. The Polavaram Project will be redesigned after which the works would continue. The experts will have to study about the damage and the further plan would be chalked out. For the first time ever in the history, the diaphragm wall got damaged. I will soon visit Polavaram Project and will review the situation" told Ambati Rambabu.
