Chandrababu's Comments On Polavaram Project:- Polavaram Project happened to be one of the prestigious projects taken up by the government of Andhra Pradesh during the regime of TDP. Chandrababu Naidu wanted to complete it on time but it got delayed after there was no support from the Centre. During his 'Idem Kharma Mana Rastraniki' event, made sensational comments about Polavaram Project. After Chandrababu and his team of leaders decided to pay their visit to the project to see the progress, the cops stopped their plans and there was a huge ruckus at the site. Chandrababu staged a protest near Polavaram Project but he was forced to go back. TDP leaders Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao, Pithani Satyanarayana and Nimmala Ramanaidu along with other TDP leaders were present. Chandrababu said that Polavaram Project is quite important to him and it is his responsibility to complete it. The cops arranged huge barricades from morning and there were lot of traffic restrictions in the region.

TDP leaders requested to allow five leaders along with Chandrababu but the cops did not allow them. DSP reached the spot and convinced Chandrababu after the protest was called off. "Polavaram Project is a dream for the Telugu people from 70 years. The entire Andhra will be rich with water if the project gets completed. I spoke with the Centre about Telangana mandals that should be added in the state. Narendra Modi and Venkaiah Naidu understood my stand and they were co-operative. YS Jagan and his government went for reverse tendering and this spoiled the entire project. If TDP returns back to power, we will complete Polavaram Project. Rs 280 crores were granted by me for Chintalapudi project that is now kept on hold. YS Jagan never kept his promises and he did not compensate for those who lost their houses and farms for Polavaram Project" told Chandrababu Naidu.
