YS Jagan Seeks Approval For Polavaram Project Revised Estimates:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is touring in Delhi with his plans to meet the leaders. He met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed about various issues of the state. He met Union Jalasakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat today and he urged him to provide assistance for the completion of the Polavaram project. He sought the approval for the revised estimates of the Polavaram project that have been submitted to the Ministry recently. YS Jagan briefed that the revised budget of the project is Rs 55,656 crores.

YS Jagan also requested to release the reimbursement of the land acquisition and rehabilitation cost. He asserted the minister over the number of families that can be relocated. The number has increased subsequently in the last couple of years when compared to the past. The number of flooded houses has increased to 1,06,006 from 44,574. YS Jagan also reminded about the reimbursed amount of Rs 1779 crores that is yet to be released by the Centre. He explained that the construction of the project would be delayed if the funds are delayed and the project cost would reach much more higher. He urged Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to support them to complete the project at the earliest.
