YS Jagan Blames TDP For Polavaram Project Delay:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy blamed the previous ruling party TDP and Chandrababu Naidu for the delay in the Polavaram Project which is constructed on the Godavari river. During the question hour in the state Assembly, YS Jagan made a PowerPoint presentation and he explained how the TDP government allegedly changed the designs of the project because of which the diaphragm wall was damaged in the recent Godavari floods. This delayed in the construction of the Polavaram project told YS Jagan. TDP MLAs have been suspended from the Assembly for a day after they made it to the podium of the Speaker and created a ruckus over the Polavaram project issue during the question hour.

"The design of the project was changed. The contractors were asked to complete the approach channel and the spillway of the dam. Then the upper and lower coffer dams have to be constructed. The river was planned to be diverted towards the spillway to construct the earth-cum-rock fill dam. But the gentleman who has over 40 years of experience and ruled the state for 14 years as Chief Minister changed everything for the Polavaram project. He did not complete the approach channel or the spillway. It is due to the inefficiency of the previous government, the Polavaram project got delayed. The Godavari river could not get diverted and the diaphragm wall got damaged. AP government announced a better package than the previous government" told YS Jagan.
