iPhone maker Foxconn convinced, plant in Hyderabad soon

Foxconn Group president Calvin Chin and FIH Mobile Ltd chairman Vincent Whtong were convinced to set up Foxconn Group president Calvin Chin and FIH Mobile Ltd chairman Vincent Whtong,” the official reports stated.

On Thursday, Foxconn Group president Calvin Chin and FIH Mobile Ltd chairman Vincent Whtong, met KTR, who previously invited them to invest in the state and come out with specific plans. He explained them about the government's idea of setting up a mobile manufacturing hub and also informed that many mobile phone companies have come forward to establish their units in Telangana. He made a detailed presentation on the investment opportunities in the state.

On the other side, opining that the hub would provide two lakh jobs to the unemployed youth, Telangana CM KCR said that, a suitable land would be allotted for the hub, which will have all the infrastructure facilities.

If everything goes well, Foxconn Group president Calvin Chin is convinced to set up more than 10 manufacturing facilities and data centers in India, and is also scouting for the locations.

As the unemployment issue is questioning the state for quite some time, if this hub gets ready, it would not only be able to provide employment opportunities, but also boosts up other foreign investors to come forward to Telangana. Surely, KTR needs a loud applause for his efforts of convincing the investors.
