KTR questions EC for not taking action against Modi:- The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana has strongly reacted to the Election Commission's ban on President K. Chandrasekhar Rao's (KCR) campaigning for 48 hours from Wednesday, May 1. BRS working representative KT Rama Rao asked the poll panel why no action was being taken against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. “The Election Commission cannot understand PM Modi's provocative statements. Despite receiving thousands of complaints from the people, no action has been taken against him. 'The filth of Telangana Levant. No action will be taken against 'cheap ministers','' he said, alleging that this was a conspiracy by the Prime Minister and the CM. He asked why the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress were so shocked by the Bus Yatra in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
“You can banish him [KCR] temporarily, but you cannot kill the truth that Telangana wants to know. Only those who live by it,” Rama Rao said. The ECI has banned KCR, popularly known as Mr. Rao, from campaigning for 48 hours for making derogatory and offensive remarks against the Congress. He was prohibited from holding any public gatherings, marches, rallies, shows or interviews, or speaking publicly in the media related to the ongoing election for 48 hours starting at 8 p.m. Wednesday (May 1st). Meanwhile, KCR in his reaction said that the EC did not ban Revanth Reddy when she used foul and threatening language against him. Speaking at the Mahabubabad bus yatra, the former chief minister said the EC had banned him for 48 hours but urged the BRS cadres to campaign for 96 hours.
