Congress moves to court

The Congress party will approach the court against the decision of Union government over renaming of Hyderabad Airport after actor cum politician NT Rama Rao.  Also the Congress would drag those Telangana legislators who have defected to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi party.

At the Coordination committee meeting Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh said, “a PIL would be filed in the High Court against the Centre’s decision.” He also questioned how could there be two names for one building and one terminal. Domestic and international terminals were not separate as in case of some airports. Digvijay also criticised both TRS and TDP government who making false promises to the people during elections. Telangana TDP and BJP are the only parties supporting change of Domestic terminal at Hyderabad Airport.

The membership drive was also launched yesterday. However, this meeting ended on a bitter note as several leaders had verbal war. Rajya Sabha MP Palvai and Komatireddy were involved in a small conversation while Rapolu was not happy with the proceedings.
