YSR In Bharat Ratna Award Race Now:- When the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is striving hard to confer the India’s top civilian award Bharata Ratna for Telugu Matinee idol and TDP founder NT Rama Rao, the opposition YSR Congress party also came out with a similar demand.

A resolution was moved in the meeting by the Giddalur assembly constituency party incharge demanding for Bharat Ratna to YSR, and all the leaders instantly approved the decision.
During YSR rule in the state, the former Chief Minister launched several welfare schemes and developmental programmes more than NTR. The leaders felt that the departed leader deserved the award as all section of the people owned YSR as their leader.
A few days back, a letter was forwarded by Srikakulam MP K Ramamohan Naidu to the centre requesting to announce the award to NTR has been taken into consideration.
Now, the issue will be examined by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take a decision soon. After finalizing the decision, PM will forward the same to the President for his final approval.
