The Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has clarified that there won't be any change in the name of Domestic terminal of Hyderabad Airport and will go ahead with NTR's name. He also questioned whats wrong in having two names for a airport. Jaitley said that the government has high regards for Rajiv Gandhi as well as NTR.

Telangana Congress and TRS MPs protested against this decision of NDA government. Congress MPs demanded the government to take back the G.O. passed  to rename the airport name. However, Telugu Desam MPs hit back at Congress and suggested to drag the issue more deeper.
