The Election Commission of India (ECI) is getting ready for the 16th Lok Sabha polls. As part of the preparation, the ECI has called for an all party meeting on February 4th in Delhi and will accepts suggestions from all the parties. Accordingly ECI Chief Secretary KF Willfred wrote to all the National and Regional parties across the country to attend this all party meeting without fail. Only one member from a party has been invited by ECI and it also requested to send the details of member who will represent the party.

To keep an eye on all the illegal activities during polls, ECI would like to take opinion and suggestions from parties to have a clean and authentic elections which ensures an honest battle within them. For the 2009 elections, ECI announced the election notification on March 2nd and reports say that, before this date, ECI could make official the fresh polls notification.
