Gloves For Voters and Social Distancing are the New Election Guidelines:- The Election Commission of India released new election guidelines that should be followed during the coronavirus pandemic. The door to door campaign should not have more than five people and all the voters should be present with gloves before they press the button on the electronic voting machines during the elections. A maximum number of 1000 voters are allowed at the polling booth at a time during the coronavirus pandemic said the Election Commission. The temperature of every voter will be checked before he or she enters into the polling booth informed the Election Commission.

If in any case the temperature is found to be more than the normal, the temperature will be checked again and if the result remains the same, the person will be asked to visit the polling station during the last hour of the polling. All such voters will be asked to vote in the last hour to prevent the spread of coronavirus. All the preventive measures including social distancing should be strictly followed said the Election Commission. All the candidates can file the nominations and deposit the security money online as per the new guidelines of the Election Commission. The 12-page document that is titled 'Broad Guidelines for Conduct of General Elections/By-Elections During COVID-19' is released today by the Election Commission.

Wearing masks, installing thermal scanners, using sanitizers and wearing Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) kits will be used during the process of elections said the Election Commission of India. The latest schedules of elections in states like Bihar will be conducted soon but the Election Commission is yet to announce the new dates.
