The 23-years-old physiotherapy student who was gruesomely raped and brutally assaulted by six men in a moving bus in Delhi succumbs to the injuries, after 13 days of trauma in Singapore, today at 2.12 am (IST).

There is wide speculation about her name which had been kept as a secret by the government as a honor to the victim. Conveniently one prominent media kept her name as Amanat for writing the pathetic story.

However today morning the name of the girl was named as Nirbaya....meaning fearless, had gone viral over the internet. Everybody started flashing across the social networks over the discovery. Unfortunately a prominent media channel scored down the theory.

This name was a character in one of the recent Bollywood films. In the story the character was brutally raped and then she avenges the trauma faced by her. Taking the name from the character the victim was assigned it by some clever people.

The accused six have been arrested and the case had evoked nation wide protest urging justice to the victim. Since the incident she was treated in Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital. Only a couple of days back the patient was shifted to Singapore Mount Elizabeth Hospital for better treatment. The body shall be brought back to India in a special chartered plane anytime today.
