A 14 year old Hindu girl in Pakistan had been kidnapped two days ago. She had later called up her father saying that she had married a Muslim and converted to Islam. However, the overwrought father had said that it could not be her daughters willing decision and that she could have been coerced into religious conversion. “She can never give up on religion” he said.

Mahyish, earlier Manisha Kumari, the 14 year old had talked to the parents after placing a call to them herself. The details of her location were not known yet. She also said that she married Ghulam Mustafa Channa after she had fallen in love with him and claimed that it was voluntarily.
Ravet Mal, the distraught father had said alleged that the pressure from the kidnapper or threats could have forced her into complying. The uncle of the girl, Sanjay Singh said that she had trembled while speaking and it indicates that she was scared while talking under pressure. He added that he could hear people instructing her to talk as they stood around her.

Hindus are the largest minority in the Sindh Province of Pakistan.
