Unfortunately the architect of Nation's space program is just a Scientist and not a politician unlike his contemporaries in the race to the Rashtrapathi Bhavan. The former President who is a bachelor could be a righteous Prime Minister if he had the nuances of political saga. This knowledgable man was sure to take us out of many crisis had be at the helm in the Democratic way. But ofcourse all dreams do not come true. APJ Abdul Kalaam sir is an epitome of knowledge and integrity. If at all there is someone who is first to be nominated to any supreme authority in the nation of billions, then he is the only one with no or less followers. Though principally there is no comparisson between him and anybody else, in reality there are others who are wellversed in politics and have sound backing by democratic leaders.
The missile man is not even supported by his home turf leaders who always talked about reagionalism and Tamil upliftment. Was is not a prestige for a Tamil to occupy the Rashtrapathi Bhavan for the second time. However our leaders think different and they have their own choices for the post. The ruling AIADMK wants former Lok Sabha speaker and NCP leader P A Sangma to sit in the President's office. While the DMK want the UPA nominated Pranab Mukherjee to get the job. Everybody have their own objective ana a choice too.
The BJP is itching to take on the ruling UPA, which has announced Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee as its candidate. However, its ally, Nitish Kumar of the JD(U) does not want to field a candidate against Mr Mukherjee. BJP is urging the former President to take up the role, while the missile man is indecesive. He is supposed to announce his decesion today. On the other hand the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee is going all out scouting on behalf of the missile man to get into the fray. Public consensus has been put up by the Bengal's iron lady on the social networking front also. In her latest bid Didi has embarked on the facebook for promoting her proposal.
