TRS To Reach Out To Empower Regional Parties To Pitch Federal Front: Says TRS MP B Vinod Kumar:- The Telangana Rashtra Samiti would reach out to the Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party to promote its idea of forging a non-Congress, non-BJP federal front of regional parties, a key TRS leader said Thursday.

The Federal Front mention by the TRS President and Telangana  Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was focused at empowering the regional parties for a better bargaining power that will address the aspirations of people in various States, said TRS MP B Vinod Kumar on Tuesday.

Vinod condemned the allegations of the Congress, the TDP and the CPI that Rao’s efforts to bring together the regional parties for a non-Congress, non-BJP coalition was an attempt to help the NDA and Prime Minister Narendra Modi return to power at the Centre, said while interacting to media .

As per his conversation the AICC spokesperson Anand Sharma,  Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, CPI general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy and CPI national council secretary K Narayana were making baseless allegations against the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for political mileage and importance.

“They are not able to understand the concept of Federal Front or whosoever name that will be decided after arriving at a consensus with the stakeholders taking all in account. But the Chief Minister has often clearly stated that both the Congress and the BJP were two sides of the same coin when it comes to addressing issues that are pertaining to States. Our focus is to break the notion that only the Congress and the BJP are alternatives which can be done by bringing a third front that can address the real issues of people which can meet their aspirations,” he asserted.

The root of federal front lies in the separate statehood moments, said B Vinod Kumar. From about 28 out of 32 political parties in all over the country that gave letters to Pranab Mukherjee Committee in favour of state bifurcation, the congress kept the proposal pending citing one reason or the other. He felt that if all parties had been united, Telangana State would have been formed in 2006.

“In UPA regime, the Congress had lesser seats as compared to the rest of the alliance partners. since for giving a few Ministries, the Congress leaders enjoy a majority of the nominated posts by dealing with each regional party individually and a lonely. They also failed to address issues plaguing for each State, by controlling affairs through the Union government,” he recalled.

The Karimnagar Parliament member stated that efforts of K.Chandrashekhar Rao for separate Statehood has received a similar response from political parties initially until the people have owned it forcing all political parties to join the cause. He felt that the Federal Front would also be owned by the people, compelling various political parties to accept the reality that people would vote only for those who were willing to address their problems.
