Uttar Pradesh becomes Second-Largest Economy In India

Uttar Pradesh becomes Second-Largest Economy In India:- Surging ahead with remarkable strides, Uttar Pradesh has now become India's second-largest economy, surpassing key states in its pursuit of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's ambitious goal of achieving the $1 trillion mark by 2027. A meticulous report from the renowned online blogging platform, SOIC Finance, reveals that Uttar Pradesh now holds the second-largest share in the country's GDP, just after Maharashtra. The report, recently disclosed on X, highlights Uttar Pradesh's substantial 9.2% share of the nation's GDP, propelling it from its previous third-place standing.

Leaving economic contributors like Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and West Bengal behind, Uttar Pradesh has proven itself as a force to be reckoned with. Additionally, it has surged past Karnataka, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. Notably, the state has witnessed a remarkable reduction in organized crime, bringing it down to zero, and has experienced rapid development in the industrial sector. Uttar Pradesh has also climbed the ranks in the 'Ease of Doing Business' index, soaring from the 14th to the second position.

At present, Uttar Pradesh is generating one crore job opportunities, exporting goods valued at approximately Rs 2 lakh crore, and has witnessed a rise in the loan-deposit ratio of banks from 42-43% to 56%, with plans to increase it to 60%. Moreover, the state has achieved a surplus in revenue and has successfully employed 56% of its population, along with the establishment of approximately 96 lakh MSMEs. The spokesperson confidently stated that Chief Minister Yogi has positioned Uttar Pradesh as a leading contender in the pursuit of development, overturning its previous reputation as a BIMARU state.
