GHMC asks all Meat shops to be closed on this Sunday:- On April 21, the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will enforce the closure of all retail meat and beef stores, as well as sheep, goat, and cattle slaughterhouses, in observance of Mahavir Jayanti. GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose has issued a circular instructing officers to enforce this directive within their respective jurisdictions. Mahavir Jayanti holds great significance in Jainism as it commemorates the birth of Mahavira. In light of this celebration, all meat and beef establishments, including cattle slaughterhouses, in Hyderabad will remain closed on Sunday.
