APSRTC Removes 6000 Contract Employees:- The ongoing crisis had a huge impact on all the businesses. The government-run Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) removed 6000 contract employees from their positions. The buses are restricted to the depots from the past two months ever since the lockdown was imposed. With this, APSRTC landed in huge crisis. The state-run bus service asked all the contract employees not to attend their duties starting from today. All the depot managers are informed about the same by APSRTC.

RTC MD M Pratap Reddy issued the orders today. The employee unions are left in shock with the decision made by APSRTC in this crisis time. They said that outsourcing employees are not paid their salaries for the month of April. M Balakasi, the President of APSRTC Contract Outsourcing Association demanded that the outsourcing employees should be immediately retained to their positions. APSRTC is in plans to restart the services from May 18th through limited services initially.
