Telugu Mandatory in Telangana Schools:- The Government of Andhra Pradesh issued a notification to update all the government schools to English medium from the next academic year which created a stir. The opposition parties took a dig on the Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy for the call. On the other side, the government of Telangana has been strict on its stand and made Telugu mandatory in all the government schools till the fifth standard. The Telangana government already requested the Centre to implement the same across the private schools. The Telangana Government even issued a GO couple of years ago making Telugu subject mandatory in all the schools across the state till the tenth standard. The Government of Telangana also introduced English medium schools across the state selectively. Out of the 26,000 schools available in the state, 4800 schools are converted into English medium schools from 2017-18. The government always supported all the plans that promoted Telugu. During the recent round table conference, Telangana minister Sabitha Indrareddy attended and revealed the state's move of educating the children till the fifth class in Telugu medium.

ISRO Makes it Official About Vikram Lander's Hard-Landing:- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) finally admitted about the hard-landing of Vikram Lander that carried Chandrayaan-2 to the moon. ISRO clarified that it missed the target just minutes before its reach but they could not trace the exact orbit and location. In a written answer for a question to the Department of Space in Lok Sabha, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Jitendra Singh said that the “reduction in velocity” of the Vikram lander during the final phase of its descent on the moon’s surface “was more than the designed value”. He said that the Vikram Lander hard-landed on the moon within 500 metres of the designed landing site which is unfortunate. Vikram Lander was planned to touch the surface of the moon during the early hours of September 7th and it crash-landed. ISRO made no comments about the update of Vikram Lander further. Three days after the incident, ISRO had said the Orbiter module of Chandrayaan-2 was functioning normally and is circling the moon. Apart from landing, most of the objectives of Chandrayaan-2 mission have been successful said Jitendra Singh.

Syeraa Worldwide Closing Collections:- Megastar Chiranjeevi's magnum opus Syeraa has been under shoot for over two years. The film directed by Surendar Reddy is the life story of freedom fighter Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy. Nayanthara is the leading lady and Amitabh Bachchan, Anushka, Jagapathi Babu, Tamannaah, Vijay Sethupathi and Kicha Sudeep played other crucial roles. Syeraa released across the globe in a record number of screens on October 2nd in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada languages. Syeraa's theatrical rights have been sold for a bomb and they are valued at Rs 200 crores. The film collected a theatrical share of Rs 141.4 crores across the globe. The Telugu version is a super hit while it suffered losses in all the other languages. Megastar Chiranjeevi's performance received a standing ovation from the audience. TRS MLA Ramesh Chennamaneni Citizenship Cancelled:- The Indian citizenship of TRS MLA Ramesh Chennamaneni has been cancelled by the Ministry of Home Affairs yesterday. He challenged the order from 2017 and his citizenship got cancelled with the fresh order. Ramesh's citizenship was revoked on the grounds that he held citizenship of Germany. He did not fulfil the norms when he obtained Indian citizenship in 2009. Ramesh Chennamaneni got re-elected from Vemulawada constituency in Telangana last year. Ramesh Chennamaneni said that he would move to Telangana High Court again after the recent move. Ramesh Chennamaneni argued that MHA did not take the orders of the High Court into consideration. He said that he is quite confident about getting justice. In July this year, the High Court kept the order of MHA aside and directed to hear Ramesh Chennamaneni's fresh submission. There are allegations that Ramesh Chennamaneni submitted fake documents and violated the Representation of People's Act. Under the Act, a person has to reside in India for 365 days (one year) to be eligible for citizenship. Ramesh said that he holds German citizenship fro 1993 but he applied for Indian citizenship in 2009 and was granted.

Vizag, Anantapur and Tirupati to be Developed as Smart Cities:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy conducted a review meeting in his camp office in Amaravati during which a decision of three concept cities has been taken. He asked the officials to plan concept cities to develop in Visakhapatnam, Anantapur and Tirupati. YS Jagan said that these cities will be developed in a radius of 10 sq.km. The decision has been taken during YS Jagan's meeting with the Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Department. YS Jagan also wanted the system of volunteers, ward secretariats to be tech-savy. YS Jagan said that the system would help root out corruption and hence it needed a strong IT network. The three smart cities idea has been taken after YSRCP kept the plans of Amaravati on hold. The Chief Minister said that the single-window system had been introduced for transparency in sanctioning of industries. Land, water and power would be provided at nominal rates for setting up industries. YS Jagan slammed Chandra Babu Naidu for making false claims during his time and attacking YSRCP. TSRTC Employees Willing to Call Off the Strike:- It has been almost 50 days since the employees of TSRTC went for the strike protesting against the government to fulfil their demands. With the Telangana government not willing to merge TSRTC in the government and reluctant to their demands, the employees are left in a huge financial crisis. The employee unions said that they are ready to call off the strike if the government allows the employees to rejoin their services. Telangana Chief Minister KCR announced that over 48,000 employees are sacked. JAC convenor Ashwathama Reddy said they decided to call off the strike in the larger interest of the public. "We will resume work if the government is willing to take us back unconditionally. They should not put forth any conditions. We will not sign any documents, but we will resume duties if they agree" said Ashwathama Reddy. The Telangana High Court said that it cannot decide if the strike is illegal or not. Supreme Court Orders for an Exclusive Law for Sabarimala:- The Supreme Court today asked the Kerala Government to prepare a special law for the management of the Sabarimala temple which landed into several controversies as women of all ages are not allowed to enter into the temple premises. The Supreme Court imposed a strict deadline for Kerala Government to frame the law by the third week of January 2020. Last week, the Justice Ranjan Gogoi had decided to refer the Sabarimala issue to a larger bench to re-examine religious issues. A petition has been filed by the Pandalam Royal Family to protecttheir rights. The Supreme Court now asked the government to change the laws taking this as an exception. Kerala government told the SC that involving women in temples' administration was part of its liberal push. The dispute came into light first in 2006 after a small dispute started between the temple and a mosque situated near by. Tight security has been imposed from Pamba to Sabarimala shrine after the temple was opened for public.
