ED Allowed Arresting Chidambaram From Tihar Jail:- Former Union Minister P Chidambaram is facing charges of corruption in INX Media case and is residing in Tihar jail from some time. Just two days before the judicial custody of P Chidambaram coming to an end, A Delhi Court today asked the Enforcement Directorate to arrest him and take him into custody if needed. Special CBI Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar allowed the Enforcement Directorate to go to Tihar Jail and interrogate P Chidambaram on Wednesday. The court also clarified that he can be arrested on the spot if needed. "It's not of the dignity of this person that you interrogate and arrest him here in public view," the court said. Chidambaram has been remanded till October 17th in the INX Media Case filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation. The 74-year-old has been in Delhi's Tihar jail since September 5. CBI officials completed questioning him in the case. He submitted that the first information report (FIR) was registered by CBI and ECIR was registered by Enforcement Directorate (ED) are based on financial transactions. INX Media received overseas funds of Rs 305 crores in 2007 when Chidambaram was the Finance Minister. (Video Source: NDTV)

High Court Denies Police Custody for Ravi Prakash:- Tv9 ex-CEO Ravi Prakash is facing various allegations and the new management of tv9, Alanda Media filed a series of cases. After a long wait, Ravi Prakash was finally arrested recently and the cases are under hearing. The Banjara Hills cops filed a petition with the High Court seeking police custody for Ravi Prakash. The High Court today slammed their request saying that the cops could not present the right motive behind their investigation and request for the police custody of Ravi Prakash. The Banjara Hills police could not submit the required details in this case and they failed in supporting their petition after which the court rejected their proposal. The allegation is that Ravi Prakash managed to draw the funds of tv9 on the name of bonuses. The lawyers of Ravi Prakash produced all the necessary details of Rs 18 crores which are paid to the employees of tv9. With no strong evidence against Ravi Prakash, the High Court rejected the request of the cops for police custody.

Telangana Govt Yet To Initiate Talks With TSRTC JAC:- TSRTC JAC intensified their protests and called off for Telangana Bandh and pressure mounted on the government. There are speculations that Telangana MP K Keshava Rao initiated talks with TSRTC JAC and the issue would be resolved in a day or two. But things of such sorts did not happen till time confirmed TSRTC JAC. “We did not receive any invitation from Keshav Rao for the talks,” JAC convenor Ashwathama Reddy said. Keshava Rao penned an open letter to TSRTC JAC asking them to call off the strike. Raji Reddy, the co-convenor of the JAC said that Keshav Rao is not a part of the government. He said that they are ready to discuss with the government if they are willing to sort their issues. They said that they are ready for discussions and call off the strike only if the government promises to fulfill the demands. On the other side, KCR is not in a mood to merge TSRTC in Telangana government and with situations dropping down badly, he is ready to give his nod for other issues. With opposition parties slamming TRS from all the corners, the government is back to damage control mode before some other unusual incidents take place.

NASA's Hunt For Chandrayaan 2 For The Second Time:- India's prestigious Chandrayaan 2 mission missed the target before the seconds it reached the moon's orbit. The USA’s National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has scheduled its Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter to locate ISRO's Vikram Lander which carried Chandrayaan 2 to the space. This is the second time, NASA staged search for Chandrayaan 2 and its carrier Vikram Lander. Last time, it happened on September 17th but they could not trace the exact location of Chandrayaan 2 though they could get the pictures clicked. The lighting conditions are expected to be better this time. ISRO earlier announced that it lost contact with Chandrayaan 2 on September 21st. NASA said that as Vikram Lander had a hard landing, it is tough to locate Chandrayaan 2 but the efforts are on. Even if NASA manages to locate Vikram Lander, it is quite difficult to establish the contact. Vikram Lander is not built to withstand the lunar night. Vikram carried a rover called Pragyan that was to have conducted experiments on the moon's surface.

Huzurnagar Bypoll: CPI Withdraws Support For TRS:- With the ongoing TSRTC strike and the Telangana government not reluctant to call off the strike, the leading party has been facing the heat from the people of the state. Prior to this, TRS requested CPI leaders to extend their support in the Huzurnagar bypoll. After a series of discussions, CPI decided to withdraw their support for TRS in the Huzurnagar bypoll which is scheduled to take place on October 21st. CPI State Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy announced the party's decision at Makhdoom Bhavan in Hyderabad, the party's headquarters. The CPI leaders conducted a series of meetings on supporting TRS. Chada Venkat Reddy said that removing 48,000 TSRTC employees is something unusual and this developed an anti-employee attitude. TRS government failed to close the talks because of which two employees committed suicide said Chada Venkat Reddy. After reviewing the situation, CPI decided to withdraw their support. CPI is not contesting in the Huzurnagar bypoll and is neutral as of now.
