Perverted software employee convicted

One Indian Software consultant who resided in the US on a work visa was pronounced guilty by a Chicago court on Thursday after he misbehaved and groped a woman on flight seated next to him.

The accused, Srinivasa S Erramilli is a 45 year old who has been free on bond pending sentencing set for April 26, 2013. The decision was given out by the US District Judge Joan H Lefkow.

He faces a maximum sentence of two years in prison apart from a fine of $250,000. This is not his first time being involved in such a case. This incident he was on a flight from Southwest Airlines to Chicago, on June 14, 2011. Being the last person to board the flight, he sat in the open seat available beside the woman. Her husband was in a seat close to the aisle for easier access.

Noticing that the man was not just accidentally touching her but groping her after the third time, she lashed out at Erramilli and shouted at him. Flight attendants and other passengers were witnesses who testified during the trial.
