Chandrayaan 2 Successfully Lifted Off to the Moon:- Chandrayaan 2 happens to be the prestigious mission of India. After small technical glitz, ISRO scientists managed to rectify it and as planned GSLV MK-III successfully injected Chandrayaan 2 into the defined orbit at 2.43 PM today from Sriharikota. Chandrayaan 2 is scheduled to touch down the surface of the moon on September 7th. K Sivan, Chairperson of ISRO calls it a historic day for Indians. He congratulated everyone and he lauded the efforts of the scientists who worked round the clock to find the technical glitch.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi watched it live and was in touch with K Sivan. "Indian at heart, Indian in spirit! What would make every Indian overjoyed is the fact that Chandrayaan2 is a fully indigenous mission? It will have an Orbiter for remote sensing the Moon and also a Lander-Rover module for analysis of lunar surface" posted Narendra Modi. Chandrayaan 2 has been designed to explore the South Pole of the moon. After Russia, USA and China, India is the fourth country to have a mission on the moon.
