ISRO Locates Chandrayaan 2:- ISRO Chairman Dr K Sivan on Sunday said that they have spotted the missing Vikram Lander. It stopped responding to the signals just 2.1 km from the target on Saturday. Vikram lander is in good health and functioning normally. ISRO is yet to capture the picture of the lander. Sivan said that they located the location of Vikram lander which carried Chandrayaan 2 on the lunar surface. He said that they managed to click the thermal image of the lander. He clarified that they are yet to get back the communication with Vikram lander.

Sivan expressed his confidence of getting the communication soon. Sivan said that it may be a hard landing. "We are yet to know if any damage took to the lander. Our scientists ruled out the possibility. The data is being analyzed to find the status of Vikram lander. ISRO will try to reestablish the links with the lander for 14 days. Our efforts would continue. 95% of Chandrayaan 2 mission can be accomplished with the orbiter. The last part of the operation was not executed in the right manner. In the last phase, we lost the link with the lander" said Sivan.
