P Chidambaram Arrested:- After a huge high drama, former Union Finance Minister and senior politician of Congress P Chidambaram got arrested last night. The Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation officials arrested P Chidambaram from his Jorbagh residence in connection with INX Media money laundering case. P Chidambaram was arrested at 8.50 PM after he returned back home from Congress Headquarters in New Delhi. Indrani Mukerjea, one of the promoters of INX Media is already arrested and turned approver. P Chidambaram was taken to CBI Headquarters and he will be produced in the court today.

There are talks that a lie detection test would be conducted for P Chidambaram. He will now have to apply for regular bail on Friday and the trial court would hear his petition tomorrow. The entire residence of P Chidambaram has been taken premises into the control after which P Chidambaram was arrested. Congress called it a witty act by the Government who wished to take revenge on P Chidambaram. Before this, CBI and ED issued a lookout notice against the senior politician. A lot of Congress supporters and media gathered at his residence but P Chidambaram was taken to CBI headquarters between tight security.
