Chidambaram to be Quizzed for Two Days in Tihar Jail:- A special New Delhi court allowed the Enforcement Directorate to interrogate the former Finance Minister P Chidambaram for two days in Tihar jail starting from today in his connection with INX Media money-laundering case. The Enforcement Directorate sought permission to question Chidambaram from 10 AM to 1 PM and 2.30 PM to 4 PM on both the days. The ED said that Chidambaran had to be confronted with some of the documents. All these documents were collected during the investigation but they were not presented before Chidambaram after which ED requested a two days investigation.

Special court judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar directed the Enforcement Directorate officials to conduct the investigation on November 22nd and 23rd. The Superintendent of Central Tihar Jail was directed to provide staff and secured room for the investigation. Chidambaram was denied bail on November 15th by the Delhi High Court in the ED case saying that the allegations against him are quite serious. The High Court said that it would send a wrong message for the society if an economic offender like Chidambaram is granted bail.
