Varavara Rao's Detention Challenged In High Court

Varavara Rao's Detention Challenged In High Court:- Revolutionary writer and activist Varavara Rao has been arrested by the Pune cops and has been under house arrest till the further hearing that will take place on September 6th. A two judge bench comprising Justice CV Nagarjun Reddy and Justice T Amarnath Goud heard the habeas corpus writ that has been filed challenging the detention of Varavara Rao. The High Court bench directed the Telangana Home Department to provide the transit order to the counsel in 48 hours and asked Telangana, Maharastra cops to file a counter in a week.

The detention was called illegal as the warrant was in Marathi and the Panchanamas have been brought from Pune. Varavara Rao has been arrested in connection with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's assassination plan and the investigation is on about Varavara Rao's hand in the plan. Pune cops along with the support of Telangana police raided Varavara Rao's house and arrested him couple of days ago.
