Mother to file petition seeking judicial inquiry into Kishenji’s encounter

The slain Maoist leader Kishenji’s mother Mrs. Madhuramma, 85, will file petition in the Kolkata High Court seeking a judicial inquiry into his killing. Family sources disclosed this at Pedapalli of Karimnagar district today.

Mr Kishenji, whose original name is Mallojula Koteswara rao, was killed in an encounter by the special police forces in the forests of the West Midnapore district of West Bengal on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Kishenji’s brother Mr Anjaneyulu demanded that his brother’s body should be handed over to them. “The West Bengal police should send the body to AP police. We will collect it from them,” he said in Pedapalli.

Virasam leader Mr Varavara Rao left for Kolkata today along with Anjaneyulu’s daughter Deepika and son Pradip Sastry to claim the body. (JUBS)
