Daggubati Purandeswari had a prominent place in Congress and in AP politics during the past. After the state bifurcation, she decided to give Congress a quit and joined BJP. She has been defeated in the last Parliament elections after which her hopes in politics have been shattered completely. Daggubati Purandeswari faced huge heat from the people as she too has been allegedly responsible for the state bifurcation. She has been idle from the past few months though she has been continuing in BJP.

There have been several rumors that Purandeswari will be joining YSRCP and many of the leading news channels too telecasted the news. A depressed Purandeswari took her official social networking page to trash all the rumors. She asked everyone to behave with responsibility. Here is her write up:
