Purandeswari appointed as AP BJP president:- Ahead 2024 polls, BJP is making some key changes in their state leaderships. Somu Veerraju was removed as the Andhra Pradesh state president. National president JP Nadda has asked Somu Veerraju to convey the news and asked him for his resignation. BJP has appointed Daggupati Purandeswari as the new BJP president for Andhra Pradesh. Sujana Chowdary and Sathya Kumar's names were in speculation, but NTR daughter Purandeswari topped the ladder.

Daggubati Purandeswari was a Member of the Lok Sabha between 2006 - 2012 and served as Minister of Education in India in the same term. She also served in the cabinet as Minister of State for Commerce and Industry in 2012.

Former Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh Kiran Kumar Reddy was appointed as the BJP’s National Executive.

On the flip side, Present Union cabinet member G Kishan Reddy will be the new BJP state president for Telangana. He is shifted to look after the state politics after many concerns are raised on the current leadership of the State. Babulal Marandi and Sunil Jakhar is the newly appointed BJP president for Jharkhand and Punjab state. Maharashtra will see some changes after NCP’s Ajit Pawar joins the ShivSena-BJP cabinet.

Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay will be shifted to the Union cabinet and MLA Etela Rajender will be the chairman of the party’s election campaign committee. As per sources, Amit Shah has communicated with the leaders depending on the changes that are being made.

After a series of meetings with the key leaders Narendra Modi-led Bharathiya Janatha Party has made these key changes.
