Modi against AP, here’s why!

While Andhra Pradesh government was badly waiting for some big things in Union Budget 2016 announced by the finance minister Arun Jaitley yesterday, the analysts say that, the same budget jolted the already crawling AP state, in all possible ways.

Firstly, let us see, what are the demands, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu put before the Centre.

Special status for AP

- Rs. 4000 crores for the long lagging Polavaram project

- Funds for metro projects in Vijayawada and Vizag

- Rs. 3500 crore for the development of national institutions in AP.

While all the demands made by the government are found reasonable by the Centre, earlier, it still could allot just Rs. 24,637.36 Crore, against Rs. 1.8 lakh crore worth demands of AP government.

The political analysts say that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hand behind allocating funds to AP, has played a key role in the Union budget 2016. It is he, who halted all the positive rains, that are expected to shower, they say.

What made Centre, jolt AP, according to analysts?

While there are different versions among the TDP insiders, the popular speculations from BJP sources are revealing that, Centre is strictly against AP. Here are such speculations.

- Based on the several continuous issues that took place in Andhra Pradesh recently, like the call money, caste related conflicts and many others, the impression on AP for the Centre was found bad, and so has considered to halt allocating huge budget to AP, reluctant to let go the public money into the wrong hands.

- If the reports are to be believed, the intelligence agencies in AP, are in constant contact with the Centre and is carrying every suspicious activity of the AP government to it. It is through these agencies, the Centre found out that, all the contracts are going to the same dominating caste.

- In the recent times, the illegal activities in the name of Pattiseema project, land mafia in the name of capital city construction, real estate business, manipulations with hundreds of crores in the name of Capital city foundation, thousands of crores forage in Sand mafia, cash for vote issue, and moreover raising the estimations on the polavaram project from Rs. 16000 crores to Rs. 36000 crores, and the recent Kapu caste conflicts in the state, worsened the image of Naidu and degraded him further. All these back to back off-screen illegal activities of Naidu, made the Centre, give a mega jolt to the state, the BJP sources say.

- Apart from AP government’s role in wasting huge amount of public money, the Centre is even unhappy with the recent Padma awards controversy. Naidu was the key man in dealing with the Andhra BJP leader, to make sure that his caste people get the Padma award. Reportedly, Modi was severely irritated with this activity.

- Adding to it, the recent Lepakshi Utsav conducted by Hindupur MLA Balakrishna, has also created disturbance in Delhi. While the state government is said to be in severe financial crisis, conducting an event like this, just to praise their own community people was found negative with the Centre.

- Whatever activity the government performs, it is only being witnessing the welfare of the  dominating caste, but nothing else. This is even irritating the AP common public, the BJP sources strongly say.

- Ignoring the fact that BJP-TDP combine has secured victory and a reason for the formation of TDP government in the state, Naidu till date never tried to take out the BJP’s name in any of his public meetings, and went on backing his own ruling. After few promises Centre made for AP, Naidu bagged the credit of those, and ignored to mention the Centre’s name.

It is to be noted that, the Central government  till date did not take out a single penny from its pocket for Naidu’s government. Reportedly, the reasons mentioned above, made Modi declare cold war with the AP government.

Whatever be the internal conflicts between the governments, but finally it is for the common public, that really costs big, in the future years. Hope the leaders notice this point and settle the differences as soon as possible and thus take Andhra Pradesh in the development route.
