Non-Bailable cases booked against Akbaruddin

Speaking ill of the Hindu community and instigating them for a war with his Hate Speeches, Majlis-eIttehadul MUslimeen MLA, Akbaruddin Owaisi has been in the news for the couple of days while several sections of the state have been demanding that he be booked for his speeches. Their wishes have been fulfilled after two non-bailable cases under the Indian Penal Code were booked against him.

On December 8 and December 22, at Nizambad and Nirmal in Adilabad the leader challenged the 100 crore Hindus to fight the Muslim forces.

Cases under IPC Section 121 (waging or attempting to wage a war against the State) and Section 153 (A) (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, language and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony) were booked against Akbaruddin. Both of them are non-bailable offences.

The much needed charges were pressed only after the government of Congress has been criticized for taking the issue slightly. Meanwhile, Akbaruddin is now in London, for a medical treatment. It is also likely that he is feigning one. The police said notices would be served immediately.

The police though suspicious of his sudden absence in the nation have decided to wait for Mr. Owaisi’s return.  “But we will requisition the services of the Interpol if there is an iota of doubt that he is purposefully trying to avoid police investigation,” Mr. Dinesh Reddy, the DGP said.

The case registered against him was only prima facie and more investigation and questioning would confirm his crimes.
