Congress minister Jana Reddy, who hails from Telangana region, has said that chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy was a helpless person when it comes to Telangana statehood issue.  Talking on the demand for statehood, he has said that leaders were seeking bifurcation as per the aspirations of the people in the state. Also, he has said that he leaders went to Delhi to talk on the issue only on the pressure exerted by the activists of Telangana and also the media.

It may be noted that Jana Reddy is one of the Congress leaders, who played an active role when Telangana joint action committee was formed. He was the ex home minister of the state during YSR regime.
