The above statement was made by Ananthapur Telugu Desam MP JC Diwakar Reddy. The former Congressmen met Telangana Congress leader Jana Reddy and later spoke to media to express his anguish. “There is no freedom in Telugu Desam party and I'm not suitable for this MP role,” said JC. From the other side, Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao arrived and both had small chat.
Speaking to VH, JC made interesting comments. “Because of leaders like, Congress party landed itself in terrible situation. You fought for separate Telangana, but the party could not manage to come to power in Telangana and it was routed in Seemandhra,” said JC. He also hoped that a united movement would soon rise start and Telugu speaking states will reunite. Responding to this comment, VH said, “over 1000 students have sacrificed for the sake of Telangana and both the Telugu Speaking states can never reunite.”
JC always enjoyed the internal democracy in Congress party and perhaps TDP is restricting him to use this facility. Couple of times, JC made similar comments being TDP but they did not go well with his fellow leaders. Chandrababu Naidu also advised JC to restrain from making public statements.
