Sircilla: Vijayamma blames the policies of Centre, State

YSR Congress party honorary president, YS Vijayamma has said that the farmers and textile workers had been facing tough time due to the policies of Central and State governments. She expressed her solidarity over the problems being faced by hand loom weavers at Sircilla town in Karimnagar district. Vijayamma, who sat for chenetha deeksha today, has said that her protest was to tell the government about the problems of textile workers. She has also promised the workers that YSRC would support them.

Talking about the problems of farmers, she has said that the situation has come for farmers to decalre crop holiday. She has also mentioned that hand loom weavers too were facing problems as the prices of cotton and polyester were sky rocketing. Further, she said she came down to Sircilla as her son Jaganmohan Reddy asked her ton console people in Sircilla.

Remembering late Rajashekara Reddy, Vijayamma said late YSR used to love woven clothes. She has also said that today's generation is forgetting the Gandhian ideology of wearing only cotton. Vijayamma said YSR always wore cotton clothes and his outfits were hailed by personalities such as George Bush and Abdul Kalam.

Lashing out at the government, she leveled serious allegations at the government. She said government increased prices of electricity, RTC and essential commodities only to loot the public money. She has also exuded confidence that Jagan would soon come out from the jail and solve the problem of textile weavers.

The Congress government is yet to make a counter on these allegations leveled by Vijayamma. The political observers said the government seems to be enjoying the victory of Pranab Mukherjee.
