Nimmagadda files petitions, hearing deferred to May 21

Nimmagadda Prasad, who was arrested in connection with YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy’s illegal assets case, has filed a petition with the CBI Special Court in Hyderabad seeking the change of custody orders of CBI. He has mentioned in this petition that he be shifted to the jail only after CBI completes its enquiry at 5.30 PM. Nimmagadda Prasad has also filed another petition stating that he should be treated as a special category prisoner.

The CBI Special Court has, however, deferred the next hearing of this case to May 21. It may be recalled that CBI arrested top industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad alias Matrix Prasad on Tuesday.

Jagan case is taking new twits and turns everyday. As said by some leaders, Jagan is busy campaigning for by-polls while his alleged followers and investors are busy moving petitions after being arrested. The next turn is of Jaganmohan Reddy and people are all apparently puzzled as to when Jagan would be put behind bars.
