YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy Resigns:- On December 11, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, a member of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), submitted his resignation to the Assembly Speaker in the prescribed format. Along with resigning from his party membership, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy expressed his gratitude to the people of Mangalagiri for electing him twice and acknowledged his dedicated service. He acknowledged that the decision to resign was difficult but necessary. Due to the unavailability of the Speaker, he submitted his resignation to the Speaker's Officer on duty. Additionally, he thanked Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for providing him with the opportunity to contest in elections twice.

Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy stated that he was resigning from his MLA position and party membership for personal reasons, and he will soon reveal his future plans. While his resignation may have come as a surprise, it is not entirely unexpected. Recent political developments and the officials' perceived lack of response to issues concerning his constituency have apparently left him dissatisfied. Furthermore, there are speculations in political circles that he may not have the opportunity to contest from the Managalgiri constituency in the 2024 elections.

In the upcoming elections, a candidate from the Backward Classes (BC) community has submitted their candidacy. Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy, who belongs to this community, was successfully elected as an MLA in both 2014 and 2019. In the previous election, he won by a slim margin of nine votes, defeating Ganji Chiranjeevi, who is from the influential weaver community and represented the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).
