YS Jagan launches TIDCO Houses:- Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan has formally handed over 8912 TIDCO houses to the beneficiaries constructed in a single layout of 77 acres in Gudiwada. YS Jagan had addressed a huge public meeting on this occasion and said that Government has fulfilled its promise by delivering 300 SqFt TIDO houses to the beneficiaries at a cost of Rs 1 each. He also added that under “Jagananna colony”, 7728 house sites were allotted in an area of 178.63 acres adjacent to the TIDCO houses. In which 4500 houses were already in progress, this would provide habitation to around 16,240 families.

Andhra Pradesh government is spending a total amount of Rs 9406 Cr on TIDCO houses. A 300 sq ft house for the poor for around 1,43,600 beneficiaries for just Rs 1 each. while in the TDP government, TIDCO house beneficiaries were asked to pay Rs 3000/- each month for 20 years. Under Jagananna Colonies and TIDCO house, the Andhra Pradesh government is constructing a total of 13,415 houses, of which 4200 houses for the poor under Navaratnalu-Pedalandariki illu in addition to 8859 houses in the Gudiwada constituency, with an expenditure of the houses is upto Rs 1782Cr.

The government is also providing 365 sq ft and 430 sq ft houses under TIDCO at a subsidy of Rss 4636Cr by paying Rs 25,000 and Rs 50,000.
