AICC official spokesman Mr Rahid Alwi said today that the Telangana issue would not be linked to the proposed constitution of the second States Reorganization Commission (SRC).
Speaking to newspersons after meeting the chief minister Kirankumar reddy at the Secretariat in Hyderabad today, Alwi described the Telangana issue as very delicate. “The issue is very delicate and being handled by Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. He will soon find a solution to the issue,” Alwi said in response to queries by journalists.
He said Azad has almost completed talks on the issue with the concerned persons and would come out with a solution acceptable to all.
When asked about the purpose of meeting the CM, he said it was a courtesy call. However, there are reports that Alwi met Kiran kumar reddy to seek opinion on his chances of getting reelected to the Rajya Sabha from the AP state. Alwi’s Rajya Sabha term will end soon.
In response to questions on the party position in AP, Alwi said the party position is better compared to the past and it will win in any election to be held in the future. (JUBS)
