HC reserves order on Jagan wealth case

jaganThe AP high court Division Bench, consisting of the Chief Justice NA Kakru and Justice Vilas V. Afjal Purkar, today opened the 125-page sealed cover reports submitted by the CBI and studied the contents after arguments concluded on the petitions submitted by the Minister Shankar Rao, TDP leader Yerram Naidu and Kadapa-based lawyer Mr. Sherwani in the illegal properties case of YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan reddy.

The bench reserved its decision on the need for ordering a full fledged CBI investigation into the allegations that Jagan has accumulated illegal wealth during his father YSR’s regime.

The court heard the arguments and counter-arguments since Monday on the petitions. Lawyers of Minister Shankar Rao, Yerram Naidu and Sherwani were heard by the court on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday respectively while counsels of Jagan rejected their claims and told the court that the petitions were politically motivated and there was no need for a full fledged CBI investigation.
