Geetha lobbying for Dy.CM post

Geetha lobbying for Dy.CM postNot giving up hopes despite the reports that the name of Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha has almost been finalized for the post of the Deputy Chief Minister, Minister J. Geetha reddy has intensified her efforts to test luck for the post.

As part of her efforts, she silently went to Delhi and met the central leaders including Ghulam Nabi Azad, in-charge of the party affairs in AP and staked her claim for the post. Her efforts mostly went unnoticed by the congress leaders.

Meanwhile, chief minister Kirankumar reddy may reshuffle his cabinet only after the formalization of PRP merger with congress party. The election commission will take another ten days or so to formally recognize the merger after which Kiran will finish the exercise.

Already, Jupally Krishna Rao’s resignation is accepted by the chief minister and Minister Botsa Satyanarayana may also quit his post as he took over as the new PCC chief in place of D. Srinivas.

These vacancies must be filled up and some ministers may be dropped from the cabinet while there may be some new faces. By the time the PRP merger with the congress is officially recognized, Union Minister Azad also will be back in India from his trip abroad. So, the reshuffle may take place only after the second week of June.
