Nithyananda files writ petition

Self styled godman Nithyananda Swamy has field a writ petition against Karnataka chief minister Sadananda Gowda.  He told the High Court that the chief minister tried to seize his ashram in Bidadi of Ramnagara district unlawfully.

In his writ petition, Nithyananda has urged the Court to cancel the orders given by the chief minister  over seizing his ashram. Along with chief minister, he included names of Ramnagara district collector, superintendent of police of Ramnagara district and two private newschannels. He has even mentioned that the High Court mentioned not to telecast any stories on him and certain newschannels were telecasting stories on him that were derogatory.

He even mentioned that his reputation was damaged due to locking up of his ashram and therefore urged the court to direct the government for giving him Rs. 10 crore as compensation for defaming.  Although Nithyananda was released on bail on Thursday, he was taken into the custody by police under CrPC Sec 151 stating NIthyananda was creating law and order problem.
