Andhra Pradesh to provide STEMI Injection for free:- The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to provide the most important injection ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction ( STEMI), which costs around Rs 40,000/- for free of cost.

AP government in collaboration with the Indian Council of medical research (ICMR) will do this mission, which will save people from heart attacks during the golden hours. The pilot project will start on September 29th in Chittoor, Guntur, Kurnool and Visakhapatnam. AP govt has spoken with the Arogyasri network hospitals about its implementation already.

Golden Hour - This is the first hour after the person suffers from a heart attack. Taking appropriate action within the first hour would save the life of the patient. The injection will reduce the risk of heart-related diseases.

STEMI Injection - This injection will be given to the streptokinase injection in a vein to break down clots, pulmonary embolism and arterial thromboembolism.

In view of Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan, the public should be saved from the deadly heart attacks, where nearly 38 lakh people in the state have suffered from heart disease. As part of necessary precautions, he has taken the initiative to provide the STEMI injection free of cost.
