Supreme Court to Decide on Gali Janardhan Reddy's Mining in AP:- In a shocking decision, the government of Andhra Pradesh cleared all the hurdles for Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) which was banned in 2010 over the violations and encroachment of the forest land. Mining Baron Gali Janardhan Reddy was investigated by the CBI and he landed in jail for several allegations related to illegal mining. Gali Janardhan Reddy approached the Supreme Court to grant permissions for mining and the government of Andhra Pradesh gave a clean chit for Gali Janardhan Reddy and his OMC to mine in the state across Ballary reserve region. The Supreme Court will hear the issue and will announce the verdict today.

The government of Andhra Pradesh filed an affidavit and it said that the government has no objection for mining in Anantapur by Gali Janardhan Reddy and OMC. Gali Janardhan Reddy was arrested in 2011 by CBI and he was a close aide to former AP Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy. He was out on bail and was silent from the past few years. Gali Janardhan Reddy is trying hard to get back to mining and he initiated the plans. The governments of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are supporting Gali Janardhan Reddy and his mining activities. Gali Janardhan Reddy is on bail since 2015 and the cases are under investigation.
