Chandrababu's remand extended till November 1st:- Andhra Pradesh ex-Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been arrested on the charges of corruption in the Skill Development Scam case and he has been in Rajahmundry Central Prison from the last 40 days. The ACB Court in Vijayawada extended the remand in the case till November 1st and the judgement was made yesterday. Chandrababu was presented virtually yesterday before the court from the Rajahmundry Prison. Chandrababu Naidu was arrested on September 9th and several other cases were filed. TDP leaders called it a political witch hunt by the leading YSRCP.

There were reports that Nara Lokesh too will be arrested in Inner Ring Road scam case but he was investigated by the CID officials. The Supreme Court reserved the judgment on the plea filed by Chandrababu Naidu. After the High Court rejected his plea, Chandrababu challenged it in the Supreme Court. TDP leaders argued that there was no prior sanction from the Governor and the arrest was planned. Several rallies are held by the supporters of TDP from the past few weeks demanding the release of Chandrababu.
