Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar has escaped a horrible road accident in England on Monday while travelling to London from Manchester. Gavaskar who is in the British country acting as commentator in the on-going England – India Test series, was on his way to London with another commentator Mark Nicholas. His car rammed into another car, damaging the left side and luckily Gavaskar was also sitting on the left side but survived any hurt.

The city of Manchester has been witnessing quite heavy rainfall for the past few days and this could be one of the reason. Gavaskar thanked god after surviving the accident and speaking a daily he said, “My God! God has saved us. There was torrential rain and our car was being driven very fast. Thankfully, no one was hurt although the accident was very, very scary.”
