Censor board complaints against regional officer

The Andhra Pradesh Censor Board members on Thursday filed an official complaint against the regional officer Ms. Dhanalakshmi to the ministry of information and broadcasting, Government of India. In their complaint, the members have alleged that there was no uniformity pertaining to censor cuts by the officer as they reportedly cited some films wherein there were no censor cuts at all with unwanted dialogues being allowed to screen while some films came under strict scanner and got series of censor cuts.

The biased approach of Dhanalakshmi irked the members, who finally knocked the doors of the centre to intervene into the issue. The allegations of corruption were also levelled against the regional officer.

It may be noted that the censor board recently gave green signal to a movie Sorry Teacher, which was objected by scores of associations and even State Human Rights Commission too asked the censor board to ban that film from being screened.
