7 MLAs of Jagan group on way back to cong?

MLAs of Jagan group on way back to congThe beleaguered YSR Congress President YS Jaganmohan reddy’s troubles are multiplying day by day. While all his hopes of getting a reprieve from the CBI investigation were evaporated with the Supreme Court rejecting his special leave petitions (SLPs) on Wednesday, nearly one fourth of the MLAs who quit in his support are now reportedly reconsidering their decision.

Though names are not revealed, seven of the 26 MLAs who submitted their papers to the Assembly Secretary Mr Sadanand, have requested the Speaker Nadendla Manohar not to act on their resignations, according to sources.

In the wake of reports that the chief minister Mr Kirankumar Reddy and PCC chief Mr Botsa Satyanarayana have advised the Speaker to accept the resignations of all the 26 MLAs who have resigned, some of the MLAs of the Jagan group have begun reconsidering their decision to support him following the Supreme Court’s rejection of Jagan’s writ petitions.

The seven MLAs are in regular touch with the Speaker’s office asking it not to act on their resignation letters. Additionally, another 5 MLAs are in touch with the Chief Minister, according to sources.

Reports said that some of the MLAs are fed up with the stance of Jagan who is not willing to give any guarantee on their tickets in the next elections. These MLAs are demanding a written guarantee on ticket allotment in the next elections and also an assurance on bearing the campaign cost from Jagan. Jagan however was not willing to accept these demands. Moreover, Jagan is not willing even to talk to junior MLAs and this has disheartened many of the MLAs supporting him.

Jagan is scheduled to come back to Hyderabad on August 30 after completing his Odarpu Yatra in the Krishna district.
