Fear grips MLAs as Speaker Plans to decide on quit letters

Speaker of the Assembly Mr Nadendla Manohar is likely to decide the fate of several MLAs’ resignations before the Assembly meets for the winter session.

Sources said the Speaker has already begun an exercise on the resignations submitted by a group of MLAs for the sake of Telangana and some other MLAs in support of the YSR Congress President YS Jaganmohan reddy.

Following the reports, fear has gripped the MLAs as no one is able to assess whose resignations would be accepted and who would be disqualified.

MLAs whose resignations would be rejected are bound to feel happy as they can continue to enjoy the benefits of being MLAs for some more period, most probably, till the next elections. But the MLAs, whose resignations would be accepted or who would be disqualified by the Speaker for various reasons, are bound to feel unhappy.

Some MLAs want the Speaker to reject their resignations on the pretext they had submitted the letters on emotional grounds.

Most of the 26 MLAs who have quit in support of Jagan are now praying for rejection of their resignations as they feel that Jagan may be arrested any time now for his involvement in various financial fraudulent activities.
