It is always advisible to go for a duvet or a comforter that is bigger than the size of your beds. With the extra size of the comforter neither you nor your partner will be a space hog.

When neither of you are using the bed, the extra comforter can be allowed to hand along the sides to give an elegant look. Tuck the excess of the duvet on the bottom to make sure that it stays in place.

For example, if you own a queen size bed, go for a King Size duvet to accommodate two people comfortably when you are sleeping. Some people may prefer two individual comforters but the intimacy of being under the same duvet would be completely lacking.
